Virtually strolling through the Old Jewish Quarter of Balat it struck me as being a real life example of the type of streets I've imagined when reading a book or listening to stories when I was young. I loved how squashed, narrow and colourful they were, especially drawn to the crooked streets and impossible inclines!

This piece took 55 hours to complete, which is the natural level of work that I apply to all my larger pieces, demonstrating not only the obsessive level of attention to detail that is the signature of my art, but also the the passion I feel when illustrating.
