Once Hopetoun Coat of Arms artwork had been finalised (view project here), the next step was to create a version that could be used for foiling, casting and stamping.
The challenge was converting a highly complex illustration with 177 colours and 837 shapes – into 1 shape and 1 colour, while retaining the detail that give the illustration its design, yet simplifying the line-work so it had that clarity at smaller dimensions.
